Hi Dan, I believe I responded to your Hopeful "Ted" Talk, last time, but I don't remember if you responded. Anyway, I have never watched your films or read your columns. I have now read a lot of Mr. Hope's verbiage and even watched a few of his and his wife's films. He has not returned the favor.
I would like to ask you which of your films would you like me to watch, but this time I will watch it after you have watched and commented on my most recent film, "Lee'd The Way." You see my time is very limited and I have to spend time writing my next film.
I don't expect to make the greatest film ever made, or even the most artistic, but I know I will make some of the most important. Maybe because I know how to mix the political with the entertainment.
Thanks, and not sure that I saw your other message (was it the one about Jon, and did you mean Jon Fitzgerald? Yes, still in touch with him.). I'm still very new to Substack and figuring out messaging. Sorry, I don't know your name. But nice to meet you and good to hear about your film. I'm also writing my next film. Please don't feel obligated to watch any of my films. Not watching my films is sometimes a better choice for people than watching them - if you're busy, that's cool. But if you had to pick one, I might suggest my latest, "18½." It's available on various VOD and AVOD sites, but also on DVD now and available at many libraries on Kanopy. Where is your film available?
Yes, I am in touch with Jon Fitzgerald and attended the AFC he helped put together last October. I presently have 2 films in distribution and have two more in the works. The one that centers around politics is "Lee'd The Way" and can be viewed on numerous services: https://firstfeatures.wixsite.com/leedtheway
Cool - I was at that thing in October, too. Jon interviewed me for a panel on the closing day. Thanks for watching 18 ½! Yah, we started shooting March 3, 2020 - got 11 days in and had to shutdown for pandemic. Finished last four days after a 6 month pandemic pause.

Yes, we started shooting at the end of February and also got shut down. We could not start again until Sept. and had to recast the entire film.
I watched "18 1/2." Apparently, made at about the same time as "Lee'd The Way."
